OCEAN SIGNAL M100X is a "Maritime Survivor Locating Device" from Ocean Signal designed to meet the needs of the professional marine market and its offshore workers. The M100 can be mounted on a life jacket or immersion suit and automatically activates upon inflation of the jacket or upon immersion when mounted on the suit.

When activated, the M100 transmits an alert to all AIS receivers and AIS-enabled plotters nearby. The M100 also transmits a 121.5 MHz homing signal in addition to AIS. The integrated 66-channel GPS ensures that a position update is provided every minute via AIS. The M100X is designed to comply with the European ATEX directive and IECEx approval for use in explosive atmospheres in Zone 2.
