Venus OS v3.50 – New interface, improved security, and smarter integration

We are pleased to announce that Venus OS v3.50 has now been released! This version is a major milestone for our GX control and monitoring solutions. Whether you use the system at home, in a marine environment, or industrially – there's something for you.

Marine-specific updates

Version 3.50 includes several improvements for marine installations:

• MFD HTML5 app with support for Amp devices
• DVCC integration with ARGO Zeus alternator control
• Support for MG Energy Systems AFC 300 and Fischer Panda AGT series
• Display of wind power and alternator outputs via SmartShunt
• Support for Safiery STAR Bluetooth tank sensors
• Summarized display of fresh water and fuel across multiple tanks

Improved security

Venus OS v3.50 introduces:

• HTTPS security for Remote Console on LAN
• New setting: Network Security Profile
• Password protection for MQTT for third-party integrations
• Simplified VRM setup with read-only mode or full control

Improved integration & generator start/stop

News:

• Support for five new generator controls, including Deep Sea DSE4520 MKII
• RTU connection for easier installation and lower cost
• Support for DC generators from Hatz and Fischer Panda
• Improved accuracy in runtime reporting

Node-RED improvements

Now you can factory reset Node-RED directly from the GX menu. New nodes and improvements for Dynamic ESS, Peak Shaving, VRM, and generators have been added.

Improvements for managed batteries

• Better handling of Pylontech in case of cell imbalance
• Automatic configuration for Leoch and Pytes
• ZYC batteries can now be updated via GX and VRM
• LBSA added to the compatibility list
