Victron Energy VRM – New features for more efficient Fleet Management

Discover improvements such as map details, mini-graphs, alarm management, and remote control for generator service.

Victron Energy has introduced several improvements to the VRM portal for installers and fleet managers who manage many Victron systems. These updates build on previous features such as groups and team management and are the result of close dialogue with operators to save time and improve customer service.

Overview of new features:

  • Map details: Preview multiple locations with fuel tank levels and generator runtime until next service.
  • Mini-graphs: Quick overview of max load and important metrics directly in the installation overview.
  • Prominent warnings and alarms: Improved visibility and quick access to alarm information.
  • New access role: “Technician” for better access control and security.
  • Remote reset of generator service: Reset service intervals directly from VRM.
  • Speed improvements: Up to 8x faster loading of side navigation, especially for 100+ locations.

1. Map details – improved overview

VRM map view

The map function has been updated to efficiently handle large numbers of systems. You can filter systems and see actionable information such as:

  • Runtime until service along with fuel levels.
  • Warning and alarm information with icons and filter options.
  • Expandable location clusters for detailed information.

The map also functions as a filter for the installation overview and can be bookmarked for specific regions, e.g., systems with active alarms in Amsterdam.

2. Mini-graphs in the installation overview

Mini-graphs VRM

Mini-graphs provide quick insight into important metrics without opening each installation. You see:

  • Battery charge status
  • Solar production
  • Maximum load
  • Grid and generator supply

How to activate mini-graphs: Log in to VRM, select the settings button in the installation overview, and activate detailed mode.

3. Prominent warnings and alarms

Now you can quickly identify problems by hovering over a warning for details or clicking to open the alarm log.

4. New access role: Technician

Access roles VRM

The Technician role provides access to diagnostics, firmware updates, and device control, but limits administrative changes such as deleting sites or users.

5. Remote reset of generator service

Generator service VRM

Now you can reset the generator's service interval directly in VRM's control center, without going through the remote console – faster and easier.
