MMSI programming on RAY53, 63, 73
Digital Skipper |26/04, 2024

This process applies only to RAY53-63-73 with software version v2.07 and later. To program your radio with your MMSI number, follow the steps below. Note that this process can be accessed after the Start-up Wizard.
- Press Menu.
- Select DSC CALLS.
- Scroll down to the last setting and select DSC set-up.
- Select MMSI.
If no MMSI number has been set, the message "MMSI required" will appear. - Select Yes.
Use the rotary knob to scroll through the available numbers and press OK to confirm each number and move on to the next. You should only enter the unique 9-digit MMSI number provided by your licensing authority. MMSI numbers starting with a '0' are used only for groups and coast stations. If you enter a '0' as the first digit, the radio assumes you are entering a coast station MMSI and automatically assigns a '0' as the second digit; this is to ensure that a group MMSI is not entered as the radio's unique MMSI. - Press the Back button at any time to edit numbers you have already entered.
- Press and hold the OK button to display options to move the cursor forward and backward through the numbers.
- When the last digit is confirmed, select DONE.
- The MMSI number will appear on the screen, check that it is correct and then select:
- Yes – Save, or
- No – Try again if the entered number is incorrect.
